Allison Murphy principal of St. Kevin Catholic Academy

Dear Graduates,
Congratulations! You made it!
I’m sure there were many days when you doubted if this day would come- and
here you are! You have successfully completed your academic requirements and are now
graduates of St. Kevin Catholic Academy.
We now take the time to celebrate your resilience and determination.

During these past few years every one of you has experienced some form of difficulty. Through those difficulties we have also experience many personal triumphs.

I would like to take this time to shine some light on what I believe is the class of 2022’s biggest achievement, your perseverance.
Many years ago Nelson Mandela famously said, “ It always seems impossible until
it is done.”

Throughout these last few years, getting to this moment might have seemed impossible. But what makes you special is that you put your heads down and pushed through to achieve success and make it to graduation. Even through difficulties, God always provided for opportunities of love and kindness. Living with COVID has been
stressful, we worked together and adjusted to change.
We have students embarking on journeys to some of the most prestigious high
schools in the area. Because of your varying accomplishments here at St Kevin, I am
confident that you will go on to do wonderful things. But the fortitude you have shown
these last few years is why I truly believe there is no obstacle that will stand in your way if
you keep pushing like you did here at St Kevin.

I would also like to take a moment to thank our faculty who themselves also pre-
served through these trying times to lead our students. And to the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who stood side by side with our 8th graders as they strove for greatness, I thank you.

8th graders you truly should be proud of yourselves. We are living through history and there have never been students who have had to adapt as much as you. These lessons of perseverance will help guide you through high school and beyond as you leave your beautiful mark on the world.
May God Bless you and your families,
Mrs. Murphy
